Nicole could have never guessed that catching up over kosher sushi with RJ would culminate in them co-founding a theatre company together. She’s ridiculously thankful for her fearless collaborators. Nicole plays well with others but is a little too chatty in class. A-

RJ is an actor, clown, and avid hiker located in New York. He is so grateful to collaboratively build his dream (Soft Brain) with a group of equally silly people. To all the dreamers out there: all you need is some kosher sushi and Nicole to get the ball rolling.

Nikki is an actor and teaching artist thrilled to be clowning, collaborating and bringing Commedia back to life with this incredible company! She is passionate about finding the fun and play in everyday life and building up the next generation of theatre artists.

(she/her) Based in New York and Atlanta, Emma is a theatremaker, singer, teaching artist, writer, and stage manager. She earned her BFA in Drama (Musical Theatre & Physical Theatre) at NYU Tisch and is a founding member of Soft Brain. Emma is especially passionate about spooky folk and jazz music, nature, and empowering young girls through theatre. She’s most interested in how we can make sense of the profound through the playful. 

Megan is a little clown who just wants to have some loud and messy fun!!! You may have seen her in “crying on the subway: someone yelled at me :,,),” “singing little songs to herself,” or “having the sniffles.” Her main goal is to remind adults how to PLAY! We forget how to because our world is not very interested in our joy and enthusiasm.  I owe everything to those who encourage my soft brain and warm heart.

Parisa is an actress/singer based in nyc. She loves entering the world of play and all it’s endless possibilities. Which is why she’ll never turn down the opportunity to make art with fun, kind people. When she’s not clowning, you can find her hanging with her dog (who’s really her son) Peanut or at a yummy vegan spot.

Nicole is an actor, teacher and clown passionate about creating new work and eating daily sweet treats. She approaches all work with an emphasis on play and authenticity and has a deep love of collaborating with her fellow clowns. Special thanks to Matto Espresso for their continual support.

Sky is yet another performing worm living in the big beautiful apple that is NYC. However, she is a proud Jersey-girl! Sky is a lover of people, nature, and most things blue in color! Someone once said about Sky: “Caution: unattended persons will be loved”. Sky is filled to the brim with excitement and joy from working with this incredible community of creative clowns. 

Since graduating from Muhlenberg College in 2021 with degrees in theatre and music, Jake has been working as a freelance scenic carpenter while pursuing acting in New York. Originally from Hillsboro, Oregon, Jake is a middle child and has been performing and annoying his family ever since he was a child. He joined Soft Brain Theatre Company in late 2023.

William Burns is an actor/writer/musician based out of Hell’s Kitchen, NY. He was recently in Rock of Ages as Dennis (TWN) and has spent this past year originating roles in NYC: My Body, My Health, My Choice (Teatro Latea), Katy and Jennifer vs. The Flasher on New Years (Theater for the New World) Staten Island! The Musical (The Tank). He has also had the opportunity to perform his own songs at Naked Angels NYC.

Denny is an AMDA College for Performance Arts graduate who now, along with being a performer, teaches performance arts as well! Outside of teaching, most of their time is spent on set working as background for tv and film, hoping to snag the principal roles soon. They are exited to make their SoftBrain debut, both as an actor and as one of the social media managers - follow us on tiktok!

Georgia Reichard is a NYC performer, choreographer, songwriter, teacher, and technician. When they're not struggling to balance their many hats, you might find them playing with their comically small dog, Charlie, or starting a new, slightly too ambitious, art project. Georgia graduated from Western Carolina University in 2022 with their BFA in Musical Theatre, and minor in Dance. Georgia is thrilled to be a part of the Soft Brain team.
